SPOTLIGHT ON DANTE!

Dante's out in the back yard mid-afternoon.  The canopy of leaves overhead provides significant shade, but the sun still finds its way through to Dante in certain spots.

Quite enlightening, n'est-ce-PAW?

DANTE AT SUMMER'S END

It's sad but true that summer is just about over, and fall is quickly and quietly edging its way in.

Summer's end is such a poignant time, as these pictures of Dante will portray.

The changing leaves are very pretty, but soon they will turn brown and wither.

Summer's flowers linger against a transient background.

Then memories of summer gradually fade ...

... until they, too, become history!

DANTE AT HIS PEAK

Dante is at peak coat, peeking through the crabapple tree in the back yard.  What may also not be evident is what he is actually doing behind that tree.

 PEEK ...

... A ...

... POO!

A DAPPLED SUN DAY WITH DANTE

Dante is resting on the back patio today.  He is taking shade under the crabapple tree.  The sun is pouring in through the leaves and creating a dappled effect on Dante's fur.

As usual, with Dante, the sight is rather breathtaking, so I thought I would share.

Have you seen the light?

DANTE: FULL OF HIMSELF

Dante is very full of himself these days!  Full of his coat, that is.

Dante's coat has at least doubled itself over the summer and has just about reached its max.

 It's absolutely glorious!

If possible, Dante looks even more massive than before.

It gives the illusion that he has gained a considerable amount of weight.

But the weight is all pure fluff!

And here we are!  May I PURResent His Royal Majesty -- HRM Fluff 'n Stuff.

The stuff of dreams!

DANTE ON FIRE

Sunset provides a unique opportunity to catch Dante's fur alight.  I just love the deep contrasts between the shadows and light in this series of pictures.

You may want to biggify to best appreciate them.
